"INSPIRITA" (2020)
nspirita, meaning "inspired" in Esperanto, is one of my "Guardians of Sacred Space," designed to infuse any area with calm and positive energy. This piece celebrates the rekindling of inspiration after a dry summer, embodying the joy of creative revival.
The original artwork, measuring 94" x 125", is hand-painted in acrylic on fiber. The intricate patterns of the rug are seamlessly integrated with the painted portrait, creating a harmonious blend of textures and imagery.
Featured in ArtPrize 2021, Inspirita was recognized as one of the five "Guardians of Sacred Space" and honored with the prestigious "Artista Latina Award," sponsored by the West Michigan Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. This painting stands as a testament to the power of inspiration and the tranquility it brings.
