INTROSPECTION (2022)
Introspection is the centerpiece of my installation, "In My Eyes," which featured 100 painted eyes and this central area rug as the focal point. This painting serves as an invitation to look within ourselves, seeking the answers we already possess but often ignore amidst the exterior "noise."
This original piece, hand-painted in acrylic on a vintage rug, measures an impressive 96" x 132". "Introspection" encourages viewers to quiet their minds and explore the depths of their own consciousness, highlighting the importance of self-awareness and inner peace.
Recognized for its profound impact, this artwork won the "Public Vote award in 2-D art" and the "Artista Latina award" at ArtPrize 2022, a prestigious international art contest where it competed against over 800 artists in Grand Rapids, MI.
