FUTURA (2024)
Futura is a 40” x 60” original painting, hand-painted in acrylic on gallery-wrapped canvas. The foundation of this artwork is a pre-existing abstract painting, which I utilized as the background. The texture seen beneath the skin is the original abstract piece that I allowed to shine through, adding depth and complexity. The necklace area reveals a sample of the untouched abstract painting, serving as a striking focal point against the layered portrait. This interplay between the abstract and figurative elements creates a unique visual experience, emphasizing the connection between past, present, and future.
