BE PRESENT (2024)
Be Present is a 40” x 60” original portrait painting, hand-painted in acrylic on gallery-wrapped canvas. The foundation of this piece is a pre-existing abstract painting, which I used as the background. The "swirly texture" visible beneath parts of this portrait is the original abstract artwork shining through, adding depth and complexity to the final composition. This layering of textures symbolizes the importance of being mindful of our past while embracing the present moment.
