Azahara is an exotic beauty...strong, elegant and confident. She is the first empowered woman I painted.
The original mixed media painting began in 2014 and was completed in 2015. It is painted in acrylic on 36" x 48" gallery wrapped canvas. Her head piece and clothing are made by recycling fabric samples from interior design projects while the background is made by recycling and collaging wall paper samples.
